At two months old, Zoey was brought into a shelter that housed 700 dogs and 200 cats. Zoey was going to be euthanized because she was sick, but a local Dog Rescue decided to save her.
The Rescue nursed her back to health while also giving her a lot of love. Their care and affection sparked Zoey's desire to fight for her life.
Once Zoey was healthy, the Rescue posted her image on www.petfinder.com, where her mom saw her and instantly fell in love.
Zoey plans to make a positive impact on rescue shelters by educating, donating, and raising awareness.
Friendly - Zoey loves making four-legged friends. Whether she's on a walk or at the dog park, she takes any chance she gets to make a new friend.
Playful - She's the Peter Pan of the dog world. She loves her toys and never gets tired of playing. She can play alone, with her dog friends, or with her mom. As long as she plays, she is a happy pup.
Silly - Zoey has a knack for making her mom laugh with her silliness. Between the faces she makes, the things she gets into, and her eccentric behavior, she keeps her mom laughing on a daily basis.
Timid - Although Zoey loves making dog friends, when it comes to humans, she is timid, and her trust must be earned.
Gentle - Most of Zoey's cousins are smaller than she is, and Zoey makes sure she is extra careful when playing with them.
